Learn how to can fruits and vegetables in the comfort of your own kitchen at the UF/IFAS Palm Beach County Cooperative Extension Service’s home canning classes June 11 and June 14.
Instructor Ada Medina-Solorzano will teach attendees how to can fruits and vegetables, the equipment necessary to can different foods and how to ensure food safety.
The first training session on June 11 will focus on canning vegetables (low-acid foods), and the second part on June 14 will focus on canning fruits (jellies and jams, which are high-acid foods).
A donation of $5 is requested for each class to cover training materials. To register, contact Carolyn Martino at 561-233-1742.
